The folks at Schilke provided this great adjustable brace. It is honestly the best addition I've made to an instrument. Center - stability - core - and incredible flexibility.
I use it un-soldered and when I change mouthpieces I adjust it for the proper sound and feel - pretty cool - thanks to Pat Hund.

TROMBONE

CORNET
1. Salvation Army Bandmaster cornet (stock no #) 2. Bach 2c, modified rim 3. Schilke custom made by Ren Schilke Approx. #24 v shaped with 19 throat, wide rim 4. Besson 5*
This is my restored by Lee Stofer Boston Standard cornet circa 1890. Silver burnished with gold trim and bell
Some of my home cut rims with the high points moved out and the bite softened. I use a Dremel tool, and while they are not cosmetically perfect they feel great and allow me to use Air-Play embouchure to its' maximum.
